It's the beginning of autumn and a hint of coolness is in the air in southern Virginia.....well, barely a hint, but it's there!!  Autumn is my favorite season of the year and inspired me to start my blog posting again.  I've been away, living life in all its ups and downs.

The most important note to this blog is that the namesake for this blog, my Daisy, passed over the Rainbow Bridge this spring.  I read other people's blogs about losing a pet and I can relate to them.  I had the perfect dog, a Cairn Terrier with a social butterfly disposition and a heart of gold.  She was truly the perfect dog and we miss her so much.  The name of this blog will continue to be Down the lane with Daisy as an homage to this little sweetie.

On another subject, I understand that many people have switched to Instagram, Twitter, facebook, whatever and have dropped their blogs.  I happen to enjoy the blogs and subscribe to many, many of them.  Please subscribe to mine and I'll be posting more often with projects and ideas I've had.

Take care,  Eileen

  3. Eileen,
I am SO SORRY about your loss of your sweet little fur baby. IT is the hardest thing ever to no longer have them by your side. They forever will live in your heart. I hope that the tears you cry for the loss of your baby will soon make a rainbow over your heart so that you will one day be healed and once again find joy in the memories of life you shared with that little child who was dressed in fur. I know that her wings were ready but your heart was not. I understand oh too well what you feel. I hope you will still find some joy in this season of Christmas.
    Blessings,
    Tonita

  5. Let me share this on your lovely blog, A neighbor of mine developed dementia, then her husband died, no children or family nearby. I am thankful our closest neighbor, an African American woman, introduced Dr Itua Herbal Medicine, A traditional herbal doctor in which we purchased a herbal product for her through his Dr Itua online herbs store. A former social worker stepped in and led the way to place the widow in a care facility. We visit nearly every week until she finishes drinking Dr Itua herbal medicines, if possible. The two of us take simple games, puzzles, and matching cards to do with her, staying about 2 hours. Jenga, Trouble, puzzles 100pcs or less, 20 cards to match (total-not 40!). The fishing game where the fish open and shut their mouths as they go around is lots of fun! We sit and chat with her until she gets well again, then we pull out a game and the three of us laugh together as we play. We take a variety of things to do so that we won't get bored. She finished Dr Itua herbal medicines and she's fine now and doing better with the help of Dr Itua herbal medicines, Dr Itua cures different illnesses with his herbal medicines. Anyone having a sick person should reach Dr Itua email drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com. We hug and hold hands a lot. Having two of us go together really helps. But I can go alone, my neighbor cannot, as she saw so much of this during her years as a social worker. I hope this specific list helps others in this situation.
    Thanks.
